Sea Foam

Some thoughts don't arrive as essays. They arrive as questions, images, half-formed ideas, and one very specific opinion about what sea foam would taste like.

I think sea foam would taste like perfectly frothed salty vanilla cold foam.

Imagine the course waves feeling the warm wet sand again

A sunny day full of bliss,

Flip flops full of sand

Everything washes away

Lopsided sandcastles built by tiny fingers

Knocked over when it's finished

When it gets boring to look at

Everyone gets knocked down

Only those who get back up can truly experience life's intention

Sometimes I wonder why mother nature is mistreated

Why do we, her children, destroy her transcendent jewels

The ones she cared for and gently laid down for admiration of such beauty,

not for its ruin.

Why must the waves draw back so soon

Why isn't there answers for such useless questions

How does the fool always win at the end of a tale

Why must the parents leave their kin

How can only one species differ in endless ways

Country music has changed so much.
